Haksaw incidents

This is an account of all incidents involving [[haksaw]].
== {{date|June 1 2013}} ==
Haksaw attempted using the sonar on his quadcopter under the water. It didn't make it out of the swamp.

== {{date|Mar 13 2013}} ==
Haksaw apparently did not learn from previous encounters with forcibly moving servos/motors, and manually moved a servo wired in to a 5v rail on a breadboard power adapter. The generated current put too much voltage backwards through the regulator and blew it.

'''Total Damages:''' ~$3

== {{date|Dec 17 2012}} ==
Haksaw peddled too hard on the generator bike built by Remowylliams, causing the magnets to come off the fly wheel and attach themselves to one of the iron cores in the transformer coil. This broke one of the magnets, and a few pieces of plastic on the bike itself.

'''Total Damages:''' ~$25

== {{date|Dec 8 2012}} ==
Haksaw got married.

'''Total Damages:''' ~lifetime of financial ruin

== {{date|Dec 4 2012}} ==
Dan9186 handed Haksaw a printed piece of a MendelMax at which point Haksaw broke it within 5 seconds of it being in his hands.

'''Total Damages:''' ~$0.10

== {{date|March 17 2012}} ==
A Pololu stepper driver caught fire during an early prototyping session of the DoodleBot. A bright warm flame was said to be seen from outside the shop. The stepper driver was declared a total loss with the accompanying breadboard suffering scorching and slight melting.

Two other casualties were suffered that day, resulting in three dead Pololus.

'''Total Damages:''' ~$38.00

The Williams Defender cabinet shared the "base cabinet" with many other games like Joust and Sinistar. This fact makes it very easy to make multiple control decks. The control decks dimensions are 23 1/2 inches by 8 inches made of 3/4 plywood.
We have a few leftover parts from the last MAME project, also ordered a set of [http://www.ebay.com/itm/360450175737 buttons and joysticks] form Ebay seller TwistedQuarter for $29.99 plus $10 shipping as a donation.
== Custom Electronics for the Controls ==

A custom board was fabricated for controlling the buttons and joysticks [http://vusb.wikidot.com/project:mamepanel V-USB MAMEPanel] was ported to work for the Atmel atmega644p micro controller. The hardware currently emulates 2 joysticks with 8 buttons each and a keyboard hid device. MAMEPanel is expandable to 3 joysticks and a mouse input is also possible. Hardware has only been tested with windows built in tool for testing joysticks, real world performance is still to be determined. It should be fine since it is based on a working and tested design. Below is the current keymap and schematic.
