This template is used to add a box at the top of a years page in order to make it easier to navigate around the timeline.

in?= (optional) If the page is "XXXX in music" then put: in?=in music. Omitting this parameter will suppress the "Year in XXXX" row

cp= The century previous to the one the page is in. <nowiki>cp=[[20th century]]</nowiki> for 2004

c= The century the page is in. <nowiki>c=[[21st century]]</nowiki> for 2004

cf= The century following the one the page is in. <nowiki>cn1=[[22nd century]]</nowiki> for 2004

yp2= These 3 are the 3 decades previous to the one the page is in.

year= Page year

ya2= These 3 are the 3 years following the page.
