Agenda

  • Bank Account
    • We will likely be using Southeast Financial Credit Union Regions Bank
    • We want to keep roughly 2 months worth of rent in the event that absolutely no one could pay (approx. $1500)
    • We would dip into it as little as possible and would replenish it as soon as possible
    • We have set 3 names from the board with the ability to withdraw
    • Any 2 of those names are required at any given time to make a withdrawal
    • Paperwork is missing one signature and will be filed on Monday
  • Bylaws
    • The board is making more progress on the draft
    • These are the absolute rules that we are supposed to operate by
    • Pulling a lot from other spaces and any issues/thoughts they have had
    • Once the board is done drafting them, they will be presented to all members in various forms of media to review
    • In order to finalize the bylaws, they will need to be approved by the members
  • Space
    • Everyones' involvement is requested in this
    • A wiki page will be formed detailing space desires and potential spaces that meet these
    • If you know of someone or a place that we can look into, provide info, rent details, everything you can on the wiki page
    • The board will be using this page to keep track of who to contact, who has been contacted, and what have been our best options thus far
  • Soldering Class
    • Cost is $5 per kit, anyone and everyone is invited
    • We need some sort of public postings about it
    • We could use a flyer of some sort and see if they will mention it on Make Blog for us
    • Date is April 16th
  • Show Off Projects
    • Mary has something to show for sure
  • General Chit Chat

    • Soon to have paypal account.

    • What do you think about the $40-$60 per month range?
      • We're lookng for $1,000-$1,200 / month
      • Driving membership will help us get a better space, more members, more income.
  • Potentially saving up enough for 1-2 months expenses for a space and then get a space to drive membership
  • try to keep a slush fund of $1,000-$1,500
  • Soldering class April 16th.
    • $5 per person for the circuit parts
    • If you would like to buy your own soldering iron at harbor freight for $5
    • We'll teach you how to solder a circuit
