I reside in Memphis, Tn with my wife, Rachel and daughter, Zoe. We share our home with a 1 year old three-legged cat named Lita. We have a
fishtank whose occupants are a snowflake moray eel (Echidna nebulosa), 2 damsel fish (one zebra and a blue devil) and approximately 15
assorted crustaceans. I am working for a local cell-phone repair shop; it's based in Tennessee. I get to fiddle around with and disassemble
cell phones and other small electronics all day. It's the perfect job for me, I get to solve different problems while performing
component-level repairs.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." ...Robert Heinlein, Time Enough for Love
I'd like to think I'm a rather capable individual. So lets see if I can consider myself a "competent man"Like I mentioned earlier, I have a
beautiful little girl named Zoe, so that takes care of changing a diaper. I have never planned an invasion but I had way too much fun in my
younger days running through deserts and parks hunting people down with my old paint-ball gun. I was rather successful in my "engagements"
and was rarely taken out of the game.I spent almost 13 years in the restaurant industry. I started cooking when I was 16 and worked my way up
into management with several companies. With all that time around food I had better be able to butcher something, don't you think? I've
driven a boat and played with AutoCAD. My 'poetry' looks like it was banged out by a stubbed-arm chimpanzee so that's out- balancing accounts
is easy enough as long as you have your receipts. My daughter and I built a rather nice trebuchet so we'll count that towards building a
wall. I've broken my arm twice and watched them set it so I'd like to count that towards some learning experience.Every day we are alive we
are one day closer to death, but I have not shared that experience with anyone. I've given orders & taken them, cooperated with a group while
working alone to solve equations. Like I mentioned earlier, I solve problems every day so that's an easy one for me. I have lived in the city
for most of my life so as far as being able to pitch manure, we will say that's the equivalent of cleaning out the litter-box. The last time
I programmed anything it was in BASIC on an old 386. I'd like to think I can cook up something tasty but thankfully I've had yet to have the
need to fight efficiently or die gallantly... I am aiming to have those last few go unaccomplished for a long time.
