Group Information

Issue on the mailing list
- Give anyone chance to bring any concerns to the attention of the board.
- Board is not forcing anything on anyone.
- If a member makes a claim wanting a board member to step down, the board must acknowledge the claim and deal with it as an issue before the board.
- If the member does not make arrangements to bring the issue to the board, the board has to consider the issue resolved.
Joe has contacted GEEK Memphis organizers to try to get involved with them
- GEEK Memphis is aligning something with TechCamp Memphis for a tech week in November?
- Maybe we can do a big meeting with lots of projects and have GEEK group help promote it.

Shop

Shelves need to be organized a bit better
Need to fund / install a 220 power panel $350~$450 to install it (Currently $145 towards it)
Both tables in the shop are powered + Ethernet

August 25th LAN Party
- Reminder to bring surge protectors
- Feel feel to bring your own chair
- Cliff and Danny doing Food
- Danny buying: buns, chips, dip, soda, cole slaw
  - Will provide receipt for group to reimburse
- Requesting a $10 donation for food for the evening
- Tournament reward 5$, 10$, 20$ spark fun card TeamFortress 2
- Raffle Drawing for Rasberry 2$ ticket

Financial Update

Current Money: 2269.04 Laser Cutter 1400 - Target 2100ish
Current Paying Members: 33+ JD
- Member unable to pay, board approved to skip a month
- Special Case Established for members unable to pay student dues.

Group Information

- Issue resolved between members, no board interaction needed.
Joe has contacted GEEK Memphis organizers to try to get involved with them
- GEEK Memphis is aligning something with TechCamp Memphis for a tech week in November?
- Maybe we can do a big meeting with lots of projects and have GEEK group help promote it.
Moderation of the mailing list
- if someone posts something inflammatory, moderate that 1 person and give them a warning
- Give a warning saying "if you post inflammatory stuff, we'll moderate your posts"
Board vote to change board member number from 6 to 5.
- Vote passed unanimously of 4 present board members (Claudio, Ben, Dan, Joe)
Review Member Rules for possible changes
Craft Storage / Craft Supply Swap
- Put out to the group to buy a rolling shelf unit to store craft stuff on
- Group buy for a storage shelf to store craft supply storage
Darkroom / Storage Room / WTF Room
- Not trying to discredit / Disallow a darkroom
- Try to accommodate another use for the room
- Group already invested $80+ to build out the room
- unused space is only costing group
