I want to do something like this but in a more controlled, sealed environment, specifically a collection of large sealed test tubes populated with brine shrimp and algae.

Well I would say that the first thing you'll want to consider is what are you needing to control? Right now I haven't built any really "sealed" enclosure or anything like that since I'm still just developing it. Dan9186^{(T • E • C)} 00:13, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Several things could go into the "output" systems. air pumps, water pumps and lights for instance. Input would come from PH, salinity and temperature sensing.
